Storm Damage Repair in Warr Acres
After hail or a hard wind, it is tough to tell from the ground what happened to your roof. We climb up, photograph what we find, explain it in plain English and repair the damage so your home is sealed and dry again.
What storm damage repair actually means
Storm damage is rarely one big hole. More often it is dozens of small things: shingles bruised by hail, tabs lifted or torn off by wind, granules washed into the gutters, a dented vent cap, flashing pulled loose at a chimney. Each one seems minor, but together they let water reach the roof deck over the following months.
We track down every one of those spots, photograph them so you can see them too, and repair them correctly. Some roofs need a handful of shingles and new flashing. Others carry so much hail bruising that patching would only buy a year or two, and we will say so honestly. With over 20 years of combined roofing experience on our crew, we have seen enough Oklahoma spring storms to tell cosmetic marks apart from damage that will leak.
If the damage turns out to be larger, we will walk you through roof replacement as an option. If it is small, we will simply handle the roof repair and move on.
What our storm repair work includes
A full roof walk with photos
We check every slope, not only the side that faced the storm. You get photos of each problem area, so you see what we see without climbing a ladder.
Hail and wind damage repair
We replace bruised, cracked or missing shingles and reseal tabs the wind lifted. New shingles are matched as closely as possible to the ones already on your home.
Flashing, vents and pipe boots
Hail bends metal flashing and splits the rubber collars around plumbing pipes. These spots let water in sooner than almost anything else on a damaged roof, so we swap them out as part of the repair.
Temporary protection when needed
Sometimes the permanent fix has to wait for materials or a dry day. In that case we fasten a tarp tightly over the opening so water stays out of your home in the meantime.
Gutter and downspout check
Hail dents gutters and wind can pull them away from the fascia. We note any gutter damage alongside the roof so nothing gets left off your list.
Cleanup of debris and nails
We clear torn shingles and branches off the roof, then pick up loose nails from your yard and driveway before we leave.

Signs your roof took storm damage
- Granules piling up in gutters
- A handful of gritty granules at the downspout after hail means shingles lost their protective coating. Without it, sunlight breaks down the asphalt faster.
- Shingles in the yard
- Even one shingle on the lawn means there is a bare spot somewhere on the roof. That spot is open to the next rain.
- Dents on metal parts
- Check vent caps, gutters, window screens and your AC unit. If they are dented, your shingles likely took hits too.
- New water stains inside
- A brown ring that shows up on a ceiling, or damp insulation you find up in the attic once the weather clears, usually means water is getting in. That can happen even when the roof looks fine from the street.
- Lifted or creased shingles
- Strong wind can bend shingles back and break their seal. A crease line across a shingle means it will not lie flat or shed water properly again.
How a storm repair job goes
- 1
Start with a phone call
Let us know roughly when the storm came through and anything you have spotted since. We pick a time that works for you to come look at the roof.
- 2
We inspect and photograph
We walk the roof, check the attic if needed, and look over gutters and exterior metal. Then we sit down with you, go through the photos and explain each one in everyday terms.
- 3
You get a written estimate
The estimate lists each repair line by line. If you plan to file an insurance claim, we explain how the process usually works and can share our photos for your adjuster. The adjuster makes the coverage decision, not us.
- 4
We make the repairs
We protect your landscaping and siding, complete the work and pull a permit where the city requires one. Because we hold an Oklahoma general contractor license, the paperwork side is handled properly.
- 5
Final walk-through
When the work wraps up, we haul off the old material and roll a magnetic sweeper across the lawn and driveway to catch stray nails. Then we point out each repair to you, so you know exactly what changed on your roof.
What affects the cost of storm repair
The price of a storm repair depends on what your roof actually took, and that only becomes clear once we are standing on it. Your estimate lists each item with its own cost and a short reason, never a vague lump sum. These are the things that move the total the most.
- How much of the roof was hit
- Replacing a few missing shingles on one slope is a modest job. Hail bruising spread over every slope is a far larger one, and it may make replacement the smarter choice.
- Damage below the shingles
- When rain has already gotten into the wood decking, any plywood that has gone soft or started to rot gets cut out and replaced. Only then can the new shingles be nailed down on a solid surface.
- Roof pitch and height
- Steep slopes and two-story homes call for extra safety gear and more time on the roof to work carefully.
- Matching what is already there
- Older or discontinued shingles can be hard to find. That can change which product we use and how much of a slope we redo so the repair blends in.
Storm damage questions we hear often
- Should I contact my insurance company before a roofer?
- A lot of people prefer to get the roof checked first, so they know whether real damage exists before they start a claim. We can go up, take photos and walk you through what we saw. After that, the choice to file is entirely yours.
- Will you deal with my insurance adjuster for me?
- We do not act as your adjuster or negotiate your claim. What we can do is explain how storm claims typically unfold, hand you clear photos and a line-item estimate, and meet the adjuster on the roof during their visit if you would like us there.
- Do hail marks always mean I need a new roof?
- No. Some hail leaves only surface marks that do not change how a shingle sheds water. We look for cracked mats, exposed fiberglass and broken seals, the damage that actually cuts a roof's life short, and we tell you plainly which of those we found.
- How long can I wait to fix storm damage?
- A single lifted shingle might hold for a while, but any gap lets the next rain in, and soaked decking costs more to repair the longer it stays wet. Many insurance policies also set a deadline for reporting damage, so it is worth reading yours.
- Can you match my existing shingles?
- We get as close on color and style as the available products allow. On older roofs the shingles may have faded or gone out of production, so we bring samples and let you judge the match before any work begins.

Not sure what that storm did to your roof?
We will take a look, show you the photos and explain your options in plain English. You decide what happens next.
